Individual Application of Feast of Trumpets/Blowing
Maybe it is somewhat providential that I recently came across two messages that I gave over two decades ago. This is the first of those two messages. This was given in 2000, at the Cincinnati North congregation of the United Church of God. I have grown in my understanding since then, but there is much value in this presentation.

War (Numbers 10:9; Revelation 12:17)
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
Ephesians 6:11-17 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Nothing to protect backside-always face Satan. Don’t run.
James 4:7 …Resist [stand against] the devil and he will flee from you.”
Resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:50-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16)
Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
See also 1 Corinthians 15:31
Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
See also Ephesians 4:22-24
Romans 6:4 Baptism=death, burial & resurrection
Romans 6:11 “Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive [resurrected] to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. [How do we do this?] Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive [resurrected] from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
See also 2 Corinthians 5:17; Colossians 3:9-10
The “Second Coming” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Enthusiasm: En – inside of; within + theos – God = God within
Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”
This can only be accomplished by God living in us.
Conclusion ~ by Helen Mallicoat
I was regretting the past & fearing the future
Suddenly my Lord was speaking:
“My name is ‘I Am’”
He Paused
I waited
He continued, “When you live in the past with its mistakes & regrets, it is hard.
I am not there.
My name is not ‘I Was’.”
“When you live in the future, with its problems & fears, it is hard
I am not there.
My name is not ‘I Will Be’.
“When you live in this moment it is not hard.
I am here.”
“My name is ‘I Am’.”
