A few memories of the Third Annual Bubba Bash, in celebration of Neil Peart, over the weekend of January 4, 2025 at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA. It continues its mission of raising funds for Cedars-Sinai glioblastoma cancer research.
Emerald Strawberry is one of the best of the Atreano family of fig varieties, but I prefer the more intense flavor of the Adriatic figs, so we culled it.

Easton Vasilika is a very good fig variety. However, we have many Adriatics and the tree was in the way of another project, so it’s gone.
We have not grown the Silin Dubh fig variety, but The Fig Hunter was kind enough to send us a sample.
The Olympian fig variety has a wonderful peach🍑 flavor. Now all I need is cream.
As I’m retiring to spend more time with family, I’m greatly reducing our fig varieties, to just some of our favorites. We were at well over 400 fig varieties. Currently, we are at 26.
