We’ve never been big fans of the California Brown Turkey family of figs, but they are grown widely for commercial production. So, we thought we’d try some CBT’s purchased from the grocery store.
As I’m retiring to spend more time with family, I’m greatly reducing our fig varieties, to just some of our favorites. We were at well over 400 fig varieties. Currently, we are at 26.
Children are a blessing.
George can be a bit much for some, but he makes some valid points.
There can be so much confusion in Christianity and life in general – often unrecognized. How can we come to realize and eliminate this confusion?
After the first fig tasting, I had high hopes for the Jebba fig variety, but didn’t perform in our orchard. Not sure why, but I decided I had too many other good figs to take up my space and time.
Since I received a number of Sunrise cuttings from Brian, I had many Sunrise trees. I sold some. Others I gave away. Not paying attention, I accidentally gave away my last one. Bummer. Oh well, this one seems only semi-common, as it does not have the quality of caprified specimens, so we will not be re-acquiring this variety.
What does Psalm 119:105 mean to you? How have you come to take it that way? Is there another, better, way to take it?
