Items Used With The Fig Pop Rooting Method

- My goto utility knife. The ability to change the blade quickly and easily encourages me to always use a sharp blade.
- Four Inch Bags:
- Very nice 4 mil 4×24 on Uline (other sizes are available), but requires minimum quantity of 1,000. This is what I use, but not practical for most.
- The 2 mil bags are a little wimpy, but readily available and are widely used in the fig community.
- Avery Labels:
- I love Sharpie markers. They just work. I only buy retractable, cuz caps are just a pain. I buy them in bulk:
- Tape:
- The Scotch 3/4″ tape and dispenser requires only one hand. Very handy.
- The packing tape works well for securing the larger labels.
- Compressed Peat Moss
- Perlite
- Non-Latex Rubber X-treme File Bands
- I use many different scissors, but these are the ones I normally use to cut the bags, cuz I can do it in a single cut: Fiskars 9 Inch Razor-edge Shears
