Initially, our mother tree was dropping figs, but she finally started ripening figs. It was worth the wait!!!
A favorite of the CdD fig family varieties.
Since we had so many varieties from the Adriatic fig family, and our JH Adriatic was in a poor location, we had it slated for the chopping block. HOWEVER, it became LOADED with figs in 2025, and I couldn’t bring my self to get rid of it.
We’ve never been big fans of the California Brown Turkey family of figs, but they are grown widely for commercial production. So, we thought we’d try some CBT’s purchased from the grocery store.

The Olympian fig variety has a wonderful peach🍑 flavor. Now all I need is cream.
Though Purpura Verde is a unique fig variety, it is not very productive and the flavor just doesn’t stand up against some of our other fig varieties, so we have culled it.
