Though Scott’s Black has the best flavor of all of the LSU varieties we have trialed, it is late and hates the rain, so we have culled it.
Still considered one of the best varieties of the Mt Etna Types.
A terrific all-round, great tasting fig variety.
We have found Albacor Comuna to be a much less productive than many of our other varieties. It’s actually a very good fig, but I hope I don’t regret having to let this one go.
Since we had so many varieties from the Adriatic fig family, and our JH Adriatic was in a poor location, we had it slated for the chopping block. HOWEVER, it became LOADED with figs in 2025, and I couldn’t bring my self to get rid of it.
We have not grown the Aoibheann’s First fig variety, but The Fig Hunter was kind enough to send us a sample.
