We received our Amrita directly from Sacred Origin, but it has just been a dropper for us, so it has been removed from our orchard.
We’ve never been big fans of the California Brown Turkey family of figs, but they are grown widely for commercial production. So, we thought we’d try some CBT’s purchased from the grocery store.
Since we had so many varieties from the Adriatic fig family, and our JH Adriatic was in a poor location, we had it slated for the chopping block. HOWEVER, it became LOADED with figs in 2025, and I couldn’t bring my self to get rid of it.
I had one in a pot that did quite well, but the one in ground may get too much shade.
The White Triana fig is an excellent variety from the Atreano fig family, but it hasn’t been very productive and was in a shady location, so we culled it.
We have not grown the Gunner Unknown fig variety, but The Fig Hunter was kind enough to send us a sample.
