We may consider this our #1 fig variety, except for one small weakness…
We have culled LV5 after trialing it for four full seasons, as it is an unremarkable variety without caprification.
I’m still unsure that this variety is true to type. Sometimes the figs look like others’ pix, sometimes not. But I’m hanging onto it for now.
We have not grown the Red Bluff Roundup fig variety, but The Fig Hunter was kind enough to send us a sample.
We have found Albacor Comuna to be a much less productive than many of our other varieties. It’s actually a very good fig, but I hope I don’t regret having to let this one go.
